Florence Gaignerot-Driessen, chercheuse associée à l’École française d’Athènes, donnera le 24 novembre 2019 une conférence intitulée Recent discoveries at Anavlochos (Lasithi), dans le cadre du colloque Αρχαιολογικό 'Εργο στην Κρήτη.
Résumé :
As part of a 5-year (2017-2021) research program, excavations have been carried out by the French School at Athens ont he Anavlochos ridge. They revealed evidence for occupation from the Late Minoan IIIC period onwards up to the Classical period. Cultic, funerary, and residential places have been investigated in order to reconstruct the social, political, and economic organization of a mountainous community during the period of transition leading from palaces to poleis.
